Your Keys to Invisalign Success

All patients visiting our clinic are required to complete the Patient Screening Form before their visit.

1. Wear Your Trays — Like It’s Your Job

Your aligners should be in your mouth 24/7 — eating, sleeping, daydreaming — the only exception is when you’re cleaning your teeth or trays.
Pro tip: Cut back on sugary and acidic foods and drinks to keep your teeth and trays happy

2. Broken Tray? Keep Wearing It!

Even if your tray cracks, don’t ditch it — keep it in place until we see you. A slightly battle-worn tray is still better than no tray!

3. Lost Tray? Here’s What It Means

If you lose your current tray… it probably wasn’t on your teeth when it should have been. In that case, pop in your previous tray to hold your progress. We’ll replace any attachments if needed at your next appointment (unless we tell you otherwise).

4. Gum Irritation? No Biggie

A little gum irritation is normal and easily fixed! Grab some orthodontic wax from any pharmacy — problem solved.

5. Soreness? We’ve Got You Covered

If you’re feeling tender, Motrin, Advil, or Ibuprofen usually does the trick — if it’s safe for you to take. If you’re unsure, double-check with your physician first.

6. Stain Alert: Foods to Watch Out For

Skip foods that love to leave their mark — especially anything with yellow dyes like turmeric, mustard, and mac & cheese. Trust us, neon yellow trays are not the new fashion trend.
